The Navigation-39 strap is inspired by an era of rapid vintage aviation evolution (1920 - 40s) and the stringent navigational tools that facilitated it.
Features a deep brown leather base with soft padded lining and subdued stitching. With iconic double mounting and legacy tail rivets in addition to a unique debossed maker¡¦s mark. Pairs excellently with a range of aviator and field watches.
Inspired by the iconic ¡§Observation/ B-Uhr¡¨ set up; a highly legible 55mm piece worn by Navigators on a long specialised leather strap over a flight jacket. It was riveted onto fixed lugs, and equipped with a double layered captive roller type buckle which allowed for easy and secure adjustment with gloves.
LAYOUT:
A two-piece traditional strap layout outfitted with the classic aviator roller type buckle which allows for easier mounting and dismounting from the wrist.
INSTALLATION/ CARE
Remove existing strap from watch and reinsert original springbars into the NAV-39 strap for remounting. Leather color variations and surface distress will occur producing a unique patina and character. Wipe and air dry to clean. Apply mild leather conditioner for additional upkeep.
